ONE STEP CLOSER...VARIETIES OF FIGS THAT I HAVE FOR NOW....

Just want to share with you some of the earlier varieties of fig which i have. Honestly, i have no idea that the figs have a lot of varieties and its known by the country which plant it. Since i have the opportunity to meet with Dato' Syed during our greenhouse project on his site, we discuss a lot of thing regarding the figs plant and its varieties. During that particular time, Dato' Syed already have 213 varieties which comes from all over the world.

With his kindness, he willing to sell to me some of the varieties such as Matsui Dolphine, Taiwai Golden Figs, Red Israel or Red Khutmani, Green Jordania and Purple Jordania. I shared with you some pictures of the trees:

This picture taken before i transferred it inside the greenhouse using the dripping irrigation and in the basket.

According to the research and sharing session with Dato' Syed, it is the best if the fig be planting inside the greenhouse. The advantages of planting figs in the greenhouse is that can prevent from the pest which favor the plant and fruit especially fruit fly various caterpillar. Also can deter the squirrel and bird from plucking and eating the fruit. The dripping irrigation are easily manage the fertilizer, the quantity of water and fungicide management. By avoiding the water or rain contacts with the leaves and fruit with will affected the growth and the quality of the fruits, the greenhouse with 50% UV protection is the best choice.

Some research suggest that the tomato's fertilizer is the best fertilizer for figs. Since I have the fertigation farm with the ability to formulate the tomato's fertilizer, so its worth to try and will tell you the result later ya...

If the experiment show some result and success, i think it is better for me to concentrate the figs planting and produce the fruits for the local market. By looking at the current market for figs either fruit or producing the seed for open market, its worth a fortune. But the first intention when I involved in the figs planting, its because the figs or At-Tinn been mentioned in Al-Quran and recognize as 'Paradise Fruits' and it is rarely found in Malaysia except the dry Tinn which brought back by people who come back from Mecca.

The taste of fresh fig's fruits are describable and unexplainable. I have the opportunity to taste some of the fruit from various varieties with the kindness of Dato' Syed, and until now

I can't explaint of its taste, you feel like heaven when its melting in your mouth. Alhamdullillah, even though I still prayed to Allah to give me a chance to visit Mecca but I still can taste the fruit which originated from Mecca. Its HEAVEN....
